Dr. Rizo has a PhD in Science from the Hydrogeology Center of the University of Malaga, a Master's Degree in Research, Modeling and Analysis of Environmental Risks from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, and a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO).
His academic and professional experience focuses on the application of geography and geology together with field and lab work to carry out technical studies and maps of surface and underground water pollution. He has coordinated projects at private consulting companies for assessing environmental impacts and creating specialized cartography. He was a municipal inspector of Ecology and operations manager of the Santiago River Basin Council. He is a professor at ITESO in the Undergraduate Program in Environmental Engineering.
