Ph.D. in Biotechnology Sciences with a specialty in bioprocess and Bioengineering.
Graduated from CINVESTAV, He is a fixed-time research professor at the Technological and Industrial Processes Department. Since 2020 coordinator of Biotechnology Engineering, he lectures Bioreactor Engineering, Chemical and Biological Kinetics, and Fundamentals of Cell Biology.
Field of specialty and research lines
-Production of second and third-generation biofuels from agroindustry waste, urban solid waste, and effluents from treatment plants.
-Study of metabolic regulation in the differential expression of enzymes in bacterial systems and their industrial production.
-Thermochemical pretreatment and selective depolymerization of lignocellulosic biomass.
-Enzyme hydrolysis and production of enzymes under the concept of biorefinery.
-Production of probiotic biomass and higher cells at high cell densities in batch, fed-batch and continuous cultures.
